  1. This user would like the title of the PDF version of his proposals to update to "Contract" once the job is sold, so that he can present this document to the insurance company as a contract, rather than as an estimate.

Taxes can now be modelled “as markup on material”, “as markup on labor” or “as markup on subtotal”.

We also now support up to 3 decimal places.

The major improvement here is that taxes can now be applied per template – rather than globally to all projects.

This allows you to create a template for each region where different taxes apply. You can always modify which taxes are applied at the project level.

  3. I would like to have the option to delete specific lines in labor, extra costs and services from my templates.

  6. This user advises that it is a legal requirement in NJ that he displays his License number on his proposals.

He proposes that we add this to the "Your Roofer" section at the top of the proposal.

  8. Allow to set the pitch of the roof to 0/12 in the drawing system.
Create flat roof materials that can be automatically calculated from the dimensions of the drawing system (maybe add parapet height and other attributes).

This workaround is no longer necessary.

If you merely want to communicate something in your Statement of Work without affecting your costs / pricing, look for the Edit icon next to the Statement of Work on the proposal.

This will allow you add a line item, and this updated Statement of Work will be the same across the Job Details page, web and PDF versions of the proposal.

  10. Find the pitch of the roof in the drawing automatically

  11. Once a proposal is signed in Roofgraf, we could save a copy of the signed agreement on the Job Details in a section entitled "Job Documents" - alternatively, we could just display the price at which the proposal was signed somewhere on the Job Details page.
This could be stored in the Notes section of the Job Details page i.e: "Contract signed for (template name) at $x" with the date and time

We recently launched the Agreement feature. This captures a static copy of the web and PDF versions of the proposal, as they were when the proposal was signed.

This allows you to alter the pricing or list of costs for a proposal, without losing track of what was agreed upon when the proposal was signed.

Select OPEN AGREEMENT on the Job Details page to find this.

  12. Many roofers will never abandon their CRM and would therefore like to export the measurements to run through an external template. A new client has requested these as PDF (he wants to upload these PDF in the project page of his CRM). It would also be useful to export these as XML files.

There is a new functionality on RG, where users could extract a Roof Report.

  13. Many operate in rural areas where Nearmap is unavailable and Google imagery is poor. In many cases, the homes are covered by trees. In many cases (whether by drone or some third party, some as a real estate listing), the user can obtain their own images upon which to measure. They should be able to upload this image to the drawing tool, and to define the height at which the image is taken, and the approximate height of the building.

  14. I would like the images in the Roof Condition section of the Proposal to appear larger when they are selected. Even when I select the image, it is not large enough on the screen to adequately show the damage that exists.

  15. Many clients are struggling to customize their templates. Some items are "rigid" and difficult to create. We should therefore create a "Custom Material" form which allows the User to create a material from scratch. This means entering the name of the item, the "unit" (bundle, square, roll, sheet, whatever they want to call it), the coverage (should be by SQ ft, ln ft of eave, rake, valley, hip, ridge or flashing, or any combination of these), the category (material, service, labor, etc) and sub-category (shingle, decking, underlayment, etc). One example is gutters: gutters typically follow the Eave. Right now, to…

  17. Be able to add insurance certificates or customer reference sheets (by default, but also adjustable per job). These documents would appear on the PDF version of the Proposal, and we should be able to define the order of each document / page

You can now attach Project Files (as public) to be shared with your customer when sending a proposal.

Files will appear at the bottom of the proposal.

If you’d like to attach the same files to each quote (certifications, brochure of previous work, etc), head to Company Settings and add your files there. They will be added to all new proposals from that point onwards.
