Create custom materials
Many clients are struggling to customize their templates. Some items are "rigid" and difficult to create. We should therefore create a "Custom Material" form which allows the User to create a material from scratch. This means entering the name of the item, the "unit" (bundle, square, roll, sheet, whatever they want to call it), the coverage (should be by SQ ft, ln ft of eave, rake, valley, hip, ridge or flashing, or any combination of these), the category (material, service, labor, etc) and sub-category (shingle, decking, underlayment, etc). One example is gutters: gutters typically follow the Eave. Right now, to enter Gutters into Roofgraf, we need to list them as "drip-edge", because drip-edge is the only material that can be measured by ln ft of Eave. Gutters also have "downspouts" (part of the gutter which connects the roof to the ground). These downspouts are usually calculated per ln ft of Eave (1 downspout for every 10 ln ft of Eave, for example).
