  1. Many operate in rural areas where Nearmap is unavailable and Google imagery is poor. In many cases, the homes are covered by trees. In many cases (whether by drone or some third party, some as a real estate listing), the user can obtain their own images upon which to measure. They should be able to upload this image to the drawing tool, and to define the height at which the image is taken, and the approximate height of the building.

You can now use the Delete Line function on the drawing tool to remove unwanted lines.

Be advised, this function will only work for deleting lines that are not at the perimeter of the roof, and that would not leave an “open end” in the drawing (all lines must be connected to at least one other line).

  3. It seems roofers always send an invoice once I deal is signed or when the job is completed.

We have had multiple requests to generate an invoice through Roofgraf (will add the concerned users once I've tracked them).

The invoice should include details on client's contact information, property address, payment schedule, unique reference number for the document itself... (I will add necessary items as I get more specific feedback)

  4. A User should be able to create a list of permissions and a list of roles, then to assign permissions to each role. Clients are concerned about adding junior staff who could potentially make unwanted changes to the subscription, templates, etc.

Roles & Permissions are now available in Roofgraf. Head to Manage Staff and select Manage Roles.

From there, you can create a custom role, or edit the permissions for the pre-defined roles.

Once you’ve configured which permissions should apply to each role, please then head back to Manage staff and edit each user to ensure they have the appropriate role.

If you’d like us to expand the list of permissions, please submit further requests!

    Thanks

  5. Add the ability to print a work order showing labor details for the sub contractors.
Be able to print a statement of per square pitch labor cost to have something in writing to show contractors how much they are getting paid for a job based on drawing in Roofgraf.
Many roofers use sub-contractors to do the installation. They do not want to share all the details of the job with this sub. The User should be able to "generate Work Order" in the same way that they generate the BOM. The Work Order should include the Labor cost, total SQ,…

You can now generate a Work Order as PDF from the Cost & Pricing Summary on the Job Details page.

Please be advised that this feature is only available with SmartQuote templates applied.

Please ensure you’ve correctly modelled your labor costs, and the total value of these will displayed on the PDF!

  7. I would like there to be an edit option to the amount charged per square that is shown under the subtotal in the breakdown of pricing. It would evade having to go back into my template to change the pricing.

Separately, I would also like to do define a $/SQ selling price range per Template. For example, I am a roofer who sells at $400 / SQ. Depending on the specifics of the job, I might drop to $380 / SQ or raise to $420 / SQ, but never outside of this range. Accordingly, I would like the Template to…

  8. As a roofer, I would like to be able to label multiple types of flashing in my drawing. I would also like this measurement data to provide a quantity of lengths required for each type of flashing.

Accordingly, I would also like to be able to add multiple types of flashing to my Templates.

This functionality is now supported. By selecting the Edit button next to the Statement of Work on the web version of the proposal, you can now add a new line item, delete or edit an existing line item, and re-order line items to your liking. These changes are reflected on the Job Details page and the PDF proposal.

  10. This user would like to define the waste factor from the drawing tool. It is easiest to identify the required waste factor whilst looking at the roof. This will also save him from having to manually adjust the waste factor on each of his Good / Better / Best proposals.

You can now view a full history of all payments made on the Roofgraf platform from your Company Settings.

Look for Payment History at the bottom of the page. From there, you can filter payments by date and type (subscription vs roof reports), and download a PDF receipt

Use the trash icon to delete a user from your account.

If this user is an Account Owner, you will need to change their role before deleting them.

If this user has projects assigned, you will be asked to re-assign those projects to another user.

  14. When a User adds a line incorrectly and has labelled the line type, they should be able to remove the line type (to negate this "false" line impacting on the proposal). At present, the User would need to restart the drawing in order to correct the error, and this is time-consuming.

There is now an option in the menu on the drawing tool titled “Remove Line Type”.

Select this option and then click on the unwanted line.

This line will still appear on the screen, but will have no impact on your measurement data.

  15. A static copy of the proposal as it was when it was signed. This will allow you to make changes to the project (add costs, adjust statement of work) without impacting what your customer sees, while maintaining a record for both parties as to what was agreed when the proposal was signed.

When an e-signature is captured on the web version of the proposal, we will now save a copy of this known as the Agreement.

This now allows you to make changes to the project’s Cost & Pricing Summary after a proposal has been signed, while maintaining a record of what was signed.

Look out for the OPEN AGREEMENT button at the top of the Job Details page!

  16. This user would like to assign multiple users to a project, so that more than one user can receive the notification when a proposal is opened or signed.

    This feature is now live.

To assign users to a project, select EDIT STATUS at the top of the Job Details page.

From there, select the second dropdown menu and click the checkbox(es) for each user you would like to assign to the project.

From there, all assigned users will receive notifications related to that project.

  17. This user would like to receive notifications of updates to the Roofgraf service in a "What's New?" messaging tab, perhaps under Support or on the Home page.

This will allow him to digest information about changes and improvements to the tool in a non-intrusive way.

We have recently launched a new Help Center.

You can find this by clicking on the ? icon in the bottom-left corner of the page.

Here, you’ll see a tab for Product Updates. Most updates will land here from now on.

From time to time, we may publish Announcements on the homepage if we feel these require immediate attention.

Hoping this process will be less intrusive moving forward!

You will now be notified when your customer opens the proposal you sent them.

You can choose to receive email and/or SMS notifications under My Preferences.

To receive SMS, make sure you have a phone number listed under your name in Manage Staff.
