  1. Ground mounts needs to be improved. Need to be able to input how many rows and columns per array to properly build a ground mount solar system. As of right now the software can not do it. you should be able to draw the outline on the property and then with input it should auto populate with correct spacing.

  2. Free design. Let us place solar panels individually and rotate 360 degrees. This will allow designers to better fit panels to more difficult roofs. this would also eliminate the need for the draw tool. but even if the draw tool stays we should be able to rotate the panels however we want. Not just change the orientation.

  3. You guys need to add a feature that allows the sattellite view of the home to be expanded so that an alternate building location on property can be used for Panel placement. At this time, if a prospect wants to install a ground mounted system in the back yard, your sattellite image in the "edit drawing" section does not allow the ability to scrool back away from house. This presents a problem in providing a visual for the customer.

  4. Would be nice if while drawing a system, at the top in addition to showing the offset and system size, if it also showed the yearly usage and especially the production. If a customer wants to build to a certain production, I either have to do math to figure out what percentage offset that would be, or I have to keep exiting out, opening up the actual proposal to see how many kwh it will produce, then go back and make changes.

  5. after doing initial drawing ... sometimes I make ajustments --change solar modules or draw an adjacent roof .. add or remove solar modules ... the base line has changed without SG letting me know ... the result is production is now off... this happens to me mulitple times a day .. further if in "panels " menu ... there is no indication of base lines .. the only way to verify baselines to to go back to draw menu ... and hope they have not changed....

    I would suggest:
    1) Baseline shows in "panels menu"
    2) Baseline not change when…

  6. Instead of populating max amount of panels for roof space, make it possible to have set system amounts for roof. For example, 10kWh system and then it will populate the layout of specific system size based on roof size.

  7. It would be great to have a feature to remove trees in order to get a more updated and accurate shading analysis and system design for our proposals.

  8. Allow for array by array solar access values. Right now one can check shading % per array OR solar access values for the whole system.

We are signing our sold systems up for Omnidian maintenance and the need array by array solar access values. I'm currently taking old systems, deleting all but one array, taking down the SAV, deleting the last array and then building the next array for the next SAV. This will likely take hundreds of hours to do rather than ~10 if we could access SAV like we do the shading analysis. Thanks!

  9. Would really love the option to add overview image as plane, with irradiance and with panel lay out.
Sorry, I used aurora for over a year and spent the first few weeks of the Covid 19 shut down to ply with their proposal template. that offers those options.
Also looking forward to multiple versions of a given house, including ground versus roof etc.
    Thank you.

  11. At the moment, any time a drawing is adjusted, like the panel type, the array, the azimuth, the design automatically reverts back to the original and client has to do the design all over again.. It will be good to have a Stick option so they can make these little adjustments and save their design without having to constantly re-do it. Sometimes the change is as small as increasing the array by an inch but then the who design collapses and they have to do it again.

  13. Installers have the ability to delete existing panels, however they want to delete an array or surface that they have drawn on there is no quick option to do this. They have to pull the corners of the drawn surface and collapse them into an adjacent surface.

  14. As a solar installer, I would like to be able to set offsets around obstructions. There are codes in my area that require certain offsets around obstructions.

  15. Having a baseline is not very effective and can cause confusion. Please implement automatic solar offset calculations, this is a feature other solar design software's have had in a place for a long time.

  20. The software isn't always accurate - the measuring of the drawing is off from what the site assessments are. So more or less panels can actually fit in rather then what the system auto populates.
