  5. This user wants to choose the lidar data set that is used in a design (where more than one exists). If the user has some knowledge about when the home was built or last remodeled, they can be make an educated decision on whether to use older lidar that is higher quality, or more recent lidar that is lower quality

  6. This user advises that pathways are most relevant for the fire service, so we should label our features "Setbacks" and "fire pathways" rather than "fire setbacks" and pathways"

  9. This user wants a setting that prompts their users consider zooming out the aerial image after the roof is detected.

They want the image zoomed in initially, so that roof detection performs as well as possible. But they often (not always) want the image zoomed out afterward, to ensure all nearby trees are captured

Solargraf currently has a toggle that automatically zooms out the image after detecting the roof, but nothing that prompts users to consider this but doesn't do it automatically

  13. This user wants the shade report to include shading data for roof facets, as well as panel arrays

This helps during install, if panels need to be moved to some other part of the roof

  14. It would be helpful to allow users to mark trees as deciduous within the shading analysis tool. This would improve seasonal accuracy by accounting for the fact that these trees lose their leaves in winter, potentially reducing shading on solar panels during that time.

By distinguishing between deciduous and evergreen trees, users could better estimate winter production for panels that are shaded in summer but exposed in colder months. This would lead to more realistic performance projections and improved proposal accuracy.

  15. i dont think tesla is being modeled correctly in SG... every time i try to make a tesla vs enphase with a bunch of shading to show people why enphase would be better, the efficiency is better for the tesla system and that just cant be if there are stings without optimizers... same thing also happens when i have like 4 arrays facing 4 direction... tesla is coming out with way more production than enphase in those scenarios. this is really frustrating because i have to verbally convince people that the software is incorrect and they seem to care more…

  17. We don't want to maintain our own database of setbacks, but we also like to be conservative with the setbacks we use in a design (generally, a minimum of 6 inches at all roof edges where a setback is required, as well as around obstructions).

We'd like a way to "round up" all values used in the design for setbacks to a minimum value - 6 inches in our case - while still using your database as a starting point

  18. On occasion, especially for rural projects, the roof is incorrectly identified during project creation. It is tedious to re-center the image in the Change Imagery dialog within the design tool. We'd like a quicker way to re-locate the roof after a project has been created. We don't want to have to create a new project, since any work entering the customer's name, consumption data, etc would be lost
